Hey, Bolo REALLY DID escape to a better life by swimming from Hong Kong from China!
Was he an 'illegal immigrant then? I guess he must have sorted this out... anyway he's living in LA now...

Also TRUE... Bolo was Mr.Hong Kong in the Mr.Universe competition... anyone know what year though?

A piece of interesting trivia I ran across recently - Bolo, while a student and a white belt, was told to leave the dojo where he was training because he cried when he was hit by his Sensei...wonder what his Sensei would say to him if they met up 20 - 30 yrs later?....I'd like to be a fly on the wall there!!!

Bolo lives in Monterey Park, CA. I believe. The only reason I have to believe that is I personally see him walking from time to time. If anyone wants to see him, he works out at the LA Fitness on Maine St. in Alhambra. I see him in the mornings when I go to the gym. He pretty much works out by himself and everyone respects his privacy and time but still an amazing feat to see a legend working out.
